Points, Not Pips, and Overnight Gaps
Indices are counted in points rather than pips, and US30 is the friendliest of them because a point is usually a clean one dollar per lot. That makes the profit obvious: multiply the point move by your lot size. NAS100 works the same way but tends to move in wider point ranges, so the same lot swings more in dollars. Always confirm the point value your broker uses, because a few price indices differently.
One thing that can make your realized result differ from the calculator: gaps. US30 can jump over the weekend, around the cash-market open, and on major news, so your fill may be worse than the exit level you set. Treat the calculated figure as the result for the prices you entered, and expect occasional slippage on the real trade.
