Thinking in Dollars, Not Pips, on Bitcoin
On Bitcoin the pip is almost an afterthought. Since a lot is one coin and a pip is a one dollar move, the per pip value is simply one dollar per lot, and it scales linearly with fractional lots. What actually matters is the dollar distance of your stop, because Bitcoin can move several hundred dollars in an hour.
So most crypto traders skip pip counting and work in dollars. Decide how many dollars a move is worth, and the calculator converts it into coins at your lot size. If you want to size a Bitcoin trade from a dollar stop and a risk percentage, the position size calculator does exactly that.
